Initial situation
Zünd Systemtechnik is an independent family business, now run by the second generation. Zünd's modular cutting systems are sought-after solutions for cutting countless materials. The multifunctional cutting solutions are used around the globe in a wide range of applications. For the Q-Line, a new product that was launched in 2023, we were commissioned to create an identity, a new brand. We agreed from the outset that the new branding had to radiate stability, precision, strength and quality, and indeed be unique. We also knew that the new cutter had to have a concrete base for stability reasons in order to be able to implement this precision.

Result
With a figurative mark featuring a sharp-edged Q and the dot (small cube) as a stand-alone feature, we were able to perfectly reflect the characteristics and message of the Q-Line. A reduced, clear concrete environment underlines one of the USPs and perfectly showcases the new cutter. In terms of communication, it was clear from the outset that this is a unique innovation that clearly demonstrates the quality, precision, stability, etc. that make Zünd so successful.
What followed was the design for the digital presence, analog implementations such as invitations for the international launch on site or a special sock mailing. We also developed a kind of statue that we wanted to highlight; we created a 3D cube made of pure concrete from the figurative mark. 250kg that still causes a stir when you stand in the Zünd showroom;)

Insights
We realized that we were dealing with professionals at Zünd. On the one hand, they offer top quality worldwide, and on the other, they have placed 100% trust in a 'small' agency from Altstätten. The fact that we are always able to participate in further and ongoing projects with the Zünd family, help shape them and contribute strategically, makes us incredibly proud.
