Initial situation

Velosolutions works through a global network of experts, including in the field of cycling. With their experience, they are responsible for both the construction of UCI World Cup courses and the activation of the competition. With the integration of their trademark (the red tail), UCI as the organization of the event, Velosolutions as the sender, as well as venues, dates, bib numbers - and if available a title sponsor - the request was; we need a new, easily recognizable, action-packed logo.

To achieve this goal, a clear brand structure is required above all. How do you weight the individual brands, images and information to be integrated? And how can the individual elements be 'disentangled' again in order to communicate the brand clearly and comprehensibly for all application areas and sizes?

"The new branding should be clearly recognizable, the individual building blocks must fit together, even the gradation of the individual elements must be clear - and yes, totally cool, contemporary and suitable for action sports."

Result

With a few loops, which is important and indispensable in a project like this, we succeeded together in creating a clear brand structure, a clear hierarchy of messages in the image. Cool and yet timeless, with classic, clear lines, we have succeeded in creating a branding that is complete as a whole, but also perfectly suited to more reduced applications when taken apart.

"Before we go into implementation, understanding the individual building blocks is extremely important. We put individual elements together like a construction kit and let them work until the structure and message of a brand appear totally clear to all of us," emphasizes Beat Weilenmann, project manager.
